The Cottage is within easy walking distance of the friendly small village of Paule in the heart of Central Brittany.  There is a local bar and a local shop which provides all your basic needs from your morning baguette to that bottle of wine!

Close to both the country town of Carhaix, with its Saturday Market and the small town of Rostrenen, whose market is on Tuesday, there is a good selection of small traditional shops and restaurants.

Each summer in July sees the arrival of Vieilles Charrues music/rock festival with its international artists.  The festival in Carhaix is in easy reach of Paule.

Whether you are looking for a quiet time or something more energetic, this beautiful area offers something for everyone, whatever age.

The beautiful coast of Brittany are within 45 to 60 minutes drive.

Lovely medieval towns and fishing villages provide the holidaymaker with a delightful choice.

The Nantes/Brest canal is within two miles of the cottage.

During July and August there is a varied table of activities at the Lake in the next village of Glomel.

Water sports or sunbathing can be enjoyed at the wonderful  reservoir just 20 minutes away.  There is a great restaurant overlooking the lake and dinner on the terrace as the sun sets on a warm evening is something special!  Guerledan Lake

By air, Brest Airport is 45 minutes away, Dinard Airport is 90 minutes and Rennes airport is about two hours 30 minutes away.
